Snippet:

Eastyn MacKenzie stared at her sign above her soda shop and sighed as she noticed the neon sign flickered. Twirl and Dip looked like it said 'wirl and ip'. So many things were falling apart she didn't know how she was going to keep the business afloat and fix everything on top of it.

Her hand slipped into her sweater pocket and pulled out the card her father had given her. Tennyson - Jack of all Trades and the number printed in bold letters. She avoided calling Jack Tennyson because she'd dated his son and it hadn't ended well. Her father said she needed to put it behind her and call Jack.

"He knows his son is flighty and the breakup wasn't your fault," her father told her. "Drake Tennyson went off to be a rock star. When is the last time you even heard from him?

She hated it when her father was right.
