Credit: Ratna Pochiraju She sat on the riverbankStaring away from the shimmering wavesImmersed in her memoriesThat threatened to slip down The almond eyes, heavy with turmoil.
The world blurred around herFading away as a sigh escapedInto the silent breezeCarrying the pain of her heart Over the crystal watersTo the distant lands.
Was it a plea for her lost love? Was it a hopeless wait for recognition? Was it a suppressed cry for one last chance? Was it exhaustion from surrendering to fate? Was it the regret of not speaking up?Was it the remnants of the drained energy? What could she say when she knew not why her heart was empty?
