Review of 'Just sell the damn thing'
Just Sell The Damn Thing: The Proven, Contrarian Formula to GROW Your Business FASTER Than Ever
I started this book with an abundance of skepticism and a strong sense of a hook dangling under my nose for how much more it was going to cost me to get the real information I needed.
Unfortunately, this is what I've come to expect from books with grand claims of helping you grow your business.
I came away from it pleasantly surprised. Not only did I receive a wealth of information, but it was done in an entertaining way that was not only relatable but also memorable. Dan accomplished this by telling many stories. However, each one had a point that related to the topic of the chapter with a strong focus on the main theme.
While this book mostly focused on direct mail selling, I found many nuggets of information that I was able to use in my own marketing plans. I also found myself thinking outside the box of my current strategies.
The best part was this was accomplished by Dan's conversational style which reminded me less of a lecturer speaking from a stage and more like a neighbor sitting on your couch talking over old memories.
This book was entertaining, informative, and well worth the read.
