Why I’ve Stopped Reading The Wheel of Time (for now)

Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series has been a part of my reading life for almost three years now. Ive stopped reading at 37% into The Fires of Heaven (#5) and I cant bring myself to keep reading right now. I thought I would write a post to explain how I am feeling about this series right now.

If anyone has read more of the series than me and has some optimism about the series, please let me know down in the comments. Or, if you stopped reading like me why did you stop?

Julián I started the series at the beginning of October. For only one reason. Because it is said to be one of the longest fantasy series ever read. I said to myself If I read the whole series, it would be one the most amazings things I have ever done (of course, in relation with books and reading hehe). I thought if I do it, then I have to read one book after the other, I cannot read other books otherwise, I will lose the track of the characters and the plot. I thought if I read fast, I can finish the series in three months. Well.. it took me 6 months, and yes, I read other books in between. The series is good, but after many books, I felt a bit bored. The plot became a bit repetitive for me, And I really wanted to read other books. I finished the series mainly because of my commitment, in first place. But the books were good so it was not a painful thing. I really like them. But... I have to say that the whole series was not that awesome for me, so I don't feel I will re read it the the future.
