A Small Distraction

Hey all. There’s a lot going on in the world right now with Covid-19 and the US presidential race creating an over-sized shadow of uncertainty. I’ve found myself glued to the internet all week, getting very little done, and it occurred to me that we could all take this time to step away from social media and the barrage of often conflicting information. So I’m just here to encourage you to rediscover your hobbies - work on the yard, dust off that knitting, re-examine your Steam game list. Maybe even read a book!

Unfortunately, a huge number of people are in for a double wallop as their income has been cut off due to the safety-oriented shut downs sweeping the world. There’s not a lot I can do for them aside from provide a little distraction. To that end, I’ve put my Powder Mage novella collection and short story collection both up for free on my website store for a short time. I am asking that you only grab it if you’ve been adversely affected by Covid-19. I’m not going to police this in any way, and I certainly include those with sick family members or those being forced to work long shifts at hospitals and grocery stores. The rest of you can still get both from your favorite ebook stores.

Note that you can also get my urban fantasy, Uncanny Collateral, for free on Kindle Unlimited right now.

Please enjoy. Stay safe. Stay calm. Much love.

- Brian

Eric Thank you!

Patryk Nejmanowski I already bought those in Polish (all 9 stories in one volume), but it will be nice to see the original text.

Thank You. :)

Mark Matusiak Thank you! But is there a way we could still pay you? Maybe at a reduced price instead of $0? Kind of like humble bundle works? Your work is amazing, and I think you deserve something.

Thanks!

Gota Brilliant idea Brian! I already own many of these and am okay to pay for those I don't but I love the concept for those in need. These stories have brought me so much enjoyment over the years and I know they will be the perfect get away for others. My pre-order of Blood of Empire comes out tomorrow on Audible which will be my great distraction for the next 2 weeks.

For those who want more after reading these stories, don't worry because the novels are fantastic and will help get you through these difficult times.

André I love this idea! Without taking advantage of it myself a sincere thank you for giving others this opportunity.

spacealpaka Thank you so much! I enjoyed all your books, and these will certainly make the quarantine/curfew in Austria a little more bearable. Take care and stay healty!

Scott Lockart Classy move! Didn't get the free version since I'm not toooo affected by the virus but I did buy it from Amazon to show my support and since it's a series I've been wanting to pick up. Kudos for your generosity!

message 8: by Jordi (new)

Jordi I'll check them out, and will buy physical copies if I like them. Heard a lot of good things about the series. Grand gesture!

Enjoy everyone! And thank you to those you are willing to purchase the regular-priced copies!

That's very very nice of you and it makes me want to buy the Powder Mage series more and more. Thank you for your generosity.

Robert Much ridiculousness about it, much concern. I lost my faith in my government this week. But it has been truly liberating personally. I have been catching up on my reading, and can't wait to continue on from where The Autumn Republic left off!
