Before I start, I want to reiterate that the books and classes and articles listed in this series of blog posts have been of huge benefit to me, but every writer is unique. Take what works for you and ignore the rest!

For Part 2, I’m focusing on one particular mentor and his writing books, because I’ve had so many a-ha moments while reading them. I will warn you that his books have so much information, that I’ve found it impossible to absorb it all in one reading. So several of my copies are wearing out!

Donald Maass is a fabulous and successful literary agent I had the pleasure of meeting in person at the Writer Unboxed Unconference. His books delve deep into story and how to write the best one you can. Below is a list of the books I can personally recommend:
