Indeed. And as a corollary, never tell anyone they read your book wrong or how they should read it. Unless hired to review on a paid, professional review site (not here on goodreads which allows no commercial reviews), readers are pretty much the customer. Their reading experience and resulting opinions are just that, theirs.
