What story I’m currently working on:
Only at 65k in Tempting Ballad, which is a little behind on where I wanted to be, but honestly, I’m closing in on the ending and that feels like a victory. Especially since most of the books I started last year are in limbo. I’m projecting this to be about 70k, which should be perfect, so by the time I update on next week, if I’m not finished, something is severely wrong. But seriously, this story was really fascinating from beginning to end, and I’m going to miss Leo and Renn.
What I’m editing/marketing:
I had to work on the last round of edits for Rising for Autumn, which is exciting, because both that book and Of Coppers and Cracksmen are slated to appear in April! After how many releases and re-releases I went through last year, it feels weird to have slowed down. I think it’ll be close to 6 months between releases. However, I’m hoping for good news on the submission front, which will help with my whole release plan and kick off some new series for next year.

Line of the week:
“I mean, we could look, or we could just start pulling shit off the shelves,” Renn said, his hands moving before he finished the statement. All this anxious energy buzzed through him threatening to short circuit his brain if he didn’t move, move, move. He tugged one book off the shelf, sending it clattering to the ground and immediately went back for another.
Ky snorted, but the incubus stood beside him trying to same tactic. “Works for me.”
“You could try to prove me wrong about my estimates on your intelligence at least some of the time,” Jett murmured behind him.
