Weekly Word Count: 1/22/20

What story I’m currently working on:

Hit 57k in Tempting Ballad which is GOOD GOOD GOOD. I’m closing in on the last collection of chapters in the book and that’s amazing. I’ll have to keep on working hard to try and knock it out in a week or two. I’m pretty sure I can do this! It feels good to be closing in on the end of the novel, even though it’s going to take a LOT of extra work to clean this one up, considering I started in June of last year and stopped mid-stride more than a few times.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Currently there’s nothing on the editing docket, since my edits for Of Coppers and Cracksmen are all turned in! Saving Throw and A Thief’s Crusade are currently living that submission life, so I’m just waiting on an update. Once I finish Tempting Ballad, it’ll be interesting to see what I decide to work on next. I honestly don’t know which one I’m going to be diving into, but I want to keep pushing forward with trying to get closer to the end of some of my pre-existing series.

Line of the week:

“Smoke break?” Claude asked, tilting his head toward the front door.

Leo pursed his lips and nodded. Yeah, they needed to talk. He pushed up from his seat and followed the slender man to the front door. The moment he stepped into the brisk Boston air, he tugged at his sport coat lapels, as if it’d stand a chance at fielding the cold. The scents of worn stone and decaying leaves traveled his way, reminding him far too much of a cemetery. A shiver ran down his spine.

Which is very well where they could end up if his plans didn’t pan out.
