I started reading your books years ago, at the suggestion of a friend of mine who now writes romance novels, mostly supernatural. I am a huge fan, re-read the In Death books and several of the trilogies/stand-alones often.
It's sad and difficult to acknowledge the years and years in which so many of us have marginalized POC, the differently-abled, the differently-gendered. It's not going to get swept away in just a year or two; and it's going to be very painful, because so many of us Anglos don't think we're racist/ableist/anti-LGBT-etc. It's ingrained so deeply.
But I honor you, and other authors who are stepping up, making real efforts to be inclusive. The sign over the bullpen door in the In Death novels (after Delusion?), is great, and funny, too.
