I grew up without brothers, the middle child between sisters, I grew up surrounded by women and have always related better to them than men. Along the way, a few became the brothers I never had, but always needed, and at our wedding they were by my side. I wouldn’t be me without them now, from Greg who I have known since I was 4 and IS family, to my brothers-in-law that joined the family when they met my sisters and take such exquisite care of them, to Edgar, the man who came from Cuba to America and carries so much joy, to Ash, the poet and fellow Aspie who is quick to laughter, to Gregory, my spirit brother who provides the soundtrack to so many days. I struggle to relate to men, but these make it effortless, and I love them all. Thank you, gents, for standing beside me.
