Worth the Effort

The past couple weeks, my life has been absolute chaos and forgive me if at any point during this blog I go past the point of venting and onto extreme complaining because that isn’t my intention and the last thing I would want to read for leisure is someone else’s complaints. So… despite the chaos, I don’t really want to dwell on the specifics but more the coping of the chaos.

I don’t know about everybody else but lately, it seems that some many folks around me are on edge. Emotions are running high, people seem burned out. It is full steam ahead all the time! You don’t have to be a genius to look at all of this and think that, “Gosh we can’t keep going at this pace forever. And when we stop, what happens?” The answer? Who knows but does it really matter at that point?

As I’ve looked at the chaos around me lately, I question the reason for all of it? The point so to speak? I don’t mean that in a depressing sort of way but for all of us who push, push, push ourselves all day long, it really helps if you can align those efforts with an overarching goal—something worthy of those efforts. If at the end of it, you realize you have no really great reason to drive yourself to the end either emotionally, physically or spiritually, you have to contemplate why you are doing it after all.

Have a great week and happy writing!
