So, I'm in deadline hell for Unjust Cause, the sequel to Precinct 13, (which has been recently acquired by Wizard Tower Press and should be out in 2020), but I wanted to take a second to share a fun moment in which my dragon shifter hero, Valentine says this lovely line:

“Alex, you do remember that I’m an apex predator? Murder is called ‘dinner.’”
