End of the Road
I thought I'd share a snippet from the story.
Cecilia arrived at her mother's home to find her mother a drunken mess. Not a surprise since for 23 years she's celebrated the anniversary of her husband's death in this manner.
Snippet:
"Right after your father died, you would come in here and stare at this beat - up old thing. I would ask you what you were doing." She glanced over her shoulder at her. "Do you remember what you said?"
She shook her head. Of course, she didn't. She was a toddler and those memories at that age were far and in between and a bit fuzzy at best. "You would say: Daddy's playing his guitar and singing to me." Her mother pulled her wrap closer around her for what little good the thin piece of material would do to keep her warm. "You were always his little girl and even in death, you loved him more than me."

from Kaleb, a psychic, but as they resurrect the past, the secrets and
lies surrounding Lars' rock and roll life just may be the death of them
too.
