I was watching NOVA the other night before bed and Hoe. Lee. Shit. A nuclear wizard dork was going on about the Cosmic Yank. This is science slang for the accelerating expansion of the universe, something that of course I’ve never even heard of. Silly me, I thought it was expanding and that’s about as far as I got. So I sat up a little. Dudeboy was saying that for reasons associated with Dark Energy around four billion years ago the Universe abruptly started expanding faster.
