Simple, innocent and purely entertaining! This short story takes me back to simpler times when waking up to your birthday was the best thing in the world - wearing what we called "color dress" to school, distributing sweets oh so proudly with your best friend tagging along, and almost the whole school admiring you through the day. Little Tory has such a spunky attitude and I love how daringly bold yet unknowingly innocent she is. The author beautifully and vividly captures descriptions of the older days and its true to the saying "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". I love the aspect of innocent puppy love intertwined in this short story. Beautiful and entertaining read to kick start my Saturday morning....
