Hey, Look, Ma, I Made It … I Think?

[image error]

I’ve learned a very valuable lesson this past month: You really can’t make people happy.

They really, really are never satisfied.

You provide them with a solution to a problem and they either only take half of your advice, or they analyze your solution and come up with a Toulmin model argument of why it won’t work.

Well, damn. Why don’t I just shut the f*ck up and live my life and leave yours the h*ll alone!

Even though it’s hard to watch your loved ones struggle and make one bad life decision one after another, we all have to realize that’s it’s their life to rule and to ruin.

We just need to stay out of it–well, stay out of it as long as they are not trying to do their bullsh*t with your funds and in the shelter (or car) that you provide to them.

I hate when people say “Stay out my business” but their “business” is conducted on all the sh*t you paid/pay for.

Really, sir/sirette?

Newsflash people who think everyone’s trying to run their life and “control” them: Grow up and get your own sh*t.

Point. Blank. Period.

Also, for all you parents of peeps 18 and older … your kids are not giddy over turning 18 just because legally you don’t have authority over them anymore.

No, they’re giddy because now they can decide not to live under your roof anymore and listen to you argue with (and then beg) your latest paramour;

not feel guilty about not feeding everybody in the house when they only have a few dollars to feed themselves;

they can avoid those creepy-a$$ friends you love so much;

and they can avoid your overly loud phone conversations and your “getting my life right [LMFAO]” music days.

I was today-years-old when I realized that becoming an adult who pays where they lie means you do not have to stuff your feelings inside like you did in your adolescence.

Speak that sh*t and speak it OUT LOUD.

Unshackle yourself.

Cheers to pardoning your thoughts and feelings.

Peace.
