Open at Pebble Beach</a>, and eventually made our way to <a href="https://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm&qu... National Park.</a> More on this later... we're still recovering! </span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in; page-break-before: always;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b><br /></b></span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in; page-break-before: always;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Today I just wanted to pop in and share my delight upon hearing <a href="https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poet... Harjo</a>, member of the Mvskoke Creek Nation* named as the first ever Native American U.S. Poet Laureate! So many of her poems speak to me, and a few years ago I got to know her in a different way through her memoir <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Crazy-Brave-Me... BRAVE.</a> Be sure to read it, if you haven't already. Remember sundown</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">and the giving away to night.</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Remember your birth, how your mother struggled</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">to give you form and breath. You are evidence of</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">her life, and her mother's and hers.</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Remember your father. He is your life, also.</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Remember the earth whose skin you are:</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">red earth, black earth, yellow earth, white earth</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">brown earth, we are earth.</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Remember the plants, trees, animal life who all have their</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">tribes, their families, their histories, too. Talk to them,</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">listen to them. They are alive poems.</span></span></div><div align="LEFT" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Remember the wind. Remember her voice.
