It’s Probing Time!
It was in 2011 that the movie Paul hit the theaters. When I saw those big alien eyes, I melted and needed to see the movie. I’m also a fan of , so I couldn’t wait to watch that comedy.
If you’re a nerd, of course, Paul can speak to you. Not because of the alien factor, but all the nerdy references and quotes throughout the entire movie. It is a pure nerd/geek adventure filled with characters you fall for right from the beginning.

When I was in school, the Grey alien image was quite popular. There were shirts, hoodies, baseball caps and just everything you could think of and it was cool to wear those clothes. The X Files was on television, and so was Stargate SG-1. I mean, watching that movie brought me back to a cute time of my life where my nerdiness came out and forged me.
“I think we can all learn a lesson from this. Be yourself, speak from the heart, some shit like that.”

Also, Paul settled it. There is nothing a Grey would be interested to know by going through anyone’s anus. So, everybody can relax. Haha!
The Adventure of a Lifetime
The story was an excellent idea of and right from the beginning I felt pulled in the universe of and As a nerd I could so easily relate and so did my hubby. It does come out as a “cute comedy,” and it’s perfect! It’s an entertaining, engrossing and just enough referencing to iconic science-fiction movies.

What is fascinating, is how and was capable of creating such realistic characters and reactions to what is happening to them throughout the entire movie. Yes, of course, there are exaggerations, but all in all the leading quartet is believable. Also, yes, I include Paul because he fitted the story perfectly.

The FBI, a secret woman, a twisted ending when all comes to an end, it ended in a good way. A great ending to one of my favorites “cute sci-fi” movies. I like to watch Paul to entertain me and when I need a light movie to watch.
Bagels & Coffee
So, in the end, I give Paul an excellent solid 7.5/10. I find the movie refreshing, funny, nerdy and just the right amount of cuteness in Paul’s eyes. Haha! Seriously, how can one not like this alien! I recommend this movie, and even though it released eight years ago, it still holds today, and everything is just as impressive as it was.

“It’s not like I set my phaser to faint!”
Paul, 2011
There’s my first movie review for Space-Time Magazine. You might notice that my taste is strange as I like a variety of different sci-fi genre. Paul is one of them. I do enjoy light sci-fi, and not many movies in this style are out there.
