Life
I ain’t giving in. Tough as it is I keep movin’. I know it’s hard to believe but in this wreck I feel relieved. Too much look back made me lost tracks for once but mistakes hardly come twice. Life can smell like dead rats and options are blind as bats.
Whatever you say, bro. There ain’t no gossip tween both of us. Don’t lose that bus. Don’t be late. Don’t put off fate.
Thinkin’ that booze is savin’ that ass. Missed the Sunday mass. Ain’t a prayer, more like a player. Gamble. Ramble. But in loss do you stay humble.
Ups and downs taught me a lot. In this shit we’re on the same boat. Can’t see the obvious. Time to get serious.
Is it night already? Gotta close my eyes. All this got me mesmerized.
Packin’ now for a new life. A wife? Some kids? My seeds.
The new home and the furniture. Movin’ on, embrace the future.
Got some good buddies. The pals and the ladies.
Made me time foolin’ around. But my feet are aware of that ground.
And my mind as it tried to witness the excellence. Tripped on my ignorance.
But I got back up. Who’s the savior? God? This was odd.
Anyway I ain’t losin’ on anybody nor on anything. I got what it takes now so bring it in.
Those words better stick. Or would you prefer a good kick?
C’mon I’m just jokin’! A last nice play.
A coffee table, an empty ashtray. Sign that all is ok.
Time to leave. Goodbye. See you. Pray for heavens for the day we die.
