OMG it's here 2~27

February is a spring month right? Well it always has been for me.
Like any good post around the Internet, I wanted to share a little piece of forever in my heart history with you.
Today February 27th. On this day in history 2013 the most wonderful and beautiful Patrick Lawrence Mc Nally Chacon was born.

Patrick had to be one of the most fun loving, happiest babies anyone could have ever met. He loved his food and always wherever he went he had something to nibble on in his hand. A tortilla, a cookie, a piece of toast. More often than not he had crawled his way to attack the press where he knew the cookies were but if the cookie jar was bare he would pull himself to his feet and demand with one hand holding on to the press door and the other reaching for the counter, he would be making some noise that sounded exactly like he was saying "my, mine, my" and clenching his fingers in and out in his extended hand. Not crying or not in any tantrum form just a simple demand for bread.

We never heard Patrick speak but he understood whether we spoke to him in Spanish or in English, by the time he could actually walk well by that time no press in the house was ever safe and he could be found at 7 am happily plonked on the floor in the kitchen happily eating away out of a cereal box.

To let me know he wanted to keep his routine one morning, he came to me in the sitting room with a towel draped over his shoulder and held out that hand of his flicking in and out the fingers, a small fist and then open palm "my mine my" it sounded like. It was world Cup time and I was watching the early game soccer match. What on earth could he be doing and so as he beckoned me I got up he turned and walked, the cute toddler waddle back down the hallway and stood outside the bathroom door. Of course he was up and he wanted his shower.
Just barely 1 year old and he was demanding I shower him as it was morning time and that's what he wanted. He knew already how important keeping his skin soft meant and heaven forbid daddy might watch the match at this hour of the day.

February 27th.
To let you know why I have released my second book in February this year is because to me February is Patrick's month and that is just the way it is.
Patrick died at 1yr and 4 months old and today marks his 6th birthday.
It is a difficult day to mark on the year's calendar but it is with the fondest of memories the tears roll down my cheek.

Patrick daddy still Loves you with all his heart. Share a thought and pause in your day for Patrick today on his birthday.
