message 1: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Reinbeck You captured the message of this book as I had intended. While the focus is about the various forms of abuse/neglect that I endured, it was also important for me to share just how I was affected beyond feeling sad, scared, heart-broken. The long term damage changes the way you think and react because your body (my body) has been in fight/flight mode since childhood (30 years ago). Most people have no idea what the aftermath is like, no one talks about it but we should. I will talk about my experience and continue to talk until the matter of sexual abuse is no longer taboo. I was not protected, but maybe sharing my story will help someone who needs to hear it. Thank You Chynna!
