Thoughts On Australia Day Seven: I’m Finally Done With Poor Fellow My Country

Final thoughts on Australia (I think): I’m finally done with Poor Fellow My Country.

This is only sort of about our trip. I’d started this a couple of days before we went and had it with me while we were there, but I only read on flights and only 50 pages at the time, so I wasn’t really reading it for the 17-18 days I was carrying it around for the trip.

It’s about Australia though, and I realized only after we were back that the tour we were on in the middle of the trip after Sydney and before Melbourne was in the area it was primarily set. We swam at Millaa Millaa Falls and that’s only around 10 minutes or so from the town that this is mostly set near.

Primarily though, I’m posting because I’m finally done. It’s an immense book and very dense, taking me an actual month to finish, though as I said I didn’t touch it for about half that time. Still, good book. Better than many that get to that size.
