Keep in mind Heart and Soul is a WIP.

Setup for the snippet: Maverick tells Rowan they will chat later, which ends up being as they head upstairs to their separate apartments.

"It was your first day," Maverick said as they reached her front door and he turned toward her, "are you going to stick around?"

She never worked with someone who asked if she was going to stay. Usually, they were deciding if they wanted to put up with her or not. "I'd like to stick around. You have a fantastic place."

"It's good to hear you say you like the Heart and Soul."

She did very much. She hadn't felt a part of something in a long time. She could make a home here. Perhaps she could start over here even if she didn't find what she'd set out to discover.

"Well, goodnight, Rowan." He nodded and she had a distinct vision of him tipping a hat to her but then the vision slipped away just as quickly when he turned awa.

"Goodnight," she murmured and entered her place.

would know and she can belt out songs in the same fashion as the missing
