HOPE AND CERTAINTY

In Hindi we often hear a quote – umeed pe duniya kaayam hai, meaning – the world exists on hope [for the future]. And truly enough, if the hope vanishes, everything becomes meaningless. In toughest of times and darkest of hours, from hospitals to churches, temples to courts – one thing that gives us vital energy and something to look forward to – is this small four letter word laden with possibility – ‘hope’.
