Larry Frank published this 1904 image in Indian Silver Jewelry of the Southwest, 1868-1930 on page 28, but was unaware the subject was silversmith Hosteen Goodluck. The silver squash blossom necklace and concho belt he wears in this image serves as excellent proof of his silversmithing skills.

for what it's worth: Roger Skeet Jr was emphatic that #389 was the work of his father back when I interviewed him in 2005. He had a copy of the catalog with pages folded over where an item by either Skeet was incorrectly attributed.

Thank you for the information, Mark. I know you wrote in “Silver + Stone” that Roger Skeet Jr wanted to clarify unfortunate attributions in the Wallace catalog. This information gives much credence to the possibility that our concho could be by Roger Skeet Sr, which would okay, too.
