A Little Bit of Motivation
A great thing about NaNoWriMo, almost as great as setting a daily word count goal, is the pep talks. Getting to hear from some established writers who are motivating you is great. I know I have been gushing for a while about NaNo so I will make it quick. I just wanted to share this quote from Chris Cleave's pep talk, because not only can it be applied to writing, but to anything that we are striving to be... and the best thing any of us can get when working toward a goal is motivation.
"The only bad days as a writer are the ones when you are too cowardly or too lazy to sit down at the keyboard and give it everything you have. If you can sit down at the keyboard every day in November and give it everything you have, then there is no writer on earth who is better than you."
Now just replace "writer" with your title, keyboard with your medium, and November with your time frame. Pretty powerful stuff, huh? Yeah, I thought so too.
And in TK news today, a snippet from Abstrus was featured by Bryan on his blog Indie Snippets. Check it out here. And make sure to take a look around the blog. It's completely dedicated to works by indie authors. Definitely worth a gander.
Also, don't forget the contest going on over on the facebook fan page. Like the page here for a chance to win free goodies, a t-shirt, or a free signed copy of Abstrus
