Excerpt:
Standing, Angus moved cautiously through the corridor. Relying on his senses and training, he made his way downward. When he reached the entrance of the great hall, he pushed opened the massive doors. He didn’t have to ask where Deirdre was, for he could smell her from across the room. She filled his senses, and he longed to take her into his arms.

“Deirdre, I have come to ask if ye would journey with me to see the Great Dragon.”

He knew the sound of her footsteps and when he deemed she was close enough, he reached out and pulled her to his side.

“I would be honored, Angus,” she replied softly and hugged him tightly.
