I'm writing as fast as I can

I'm in a weird place as I write this.

As writers do, I'm waiting to hear back on a proposal for a full length single title book. I like writing the longer, deeper books but the facts are that the shorter books sell better. I've been contracted to write three books for a major publisher but they're category. But while two of them are written, only one is coming out in 2019. The other two, one of which is already written? 2020, baby. You read it right.2020. Not a typo. Unless something changes and it likely won't. It's a tough time for the print book part of this business.

That's the traditional publishing industry. I love it and I hate it, too. I want to bring books to my readers and I want to bring them to you fast. As in, this year.

Welp, that didn't happen.

So, as I sit here and put together this proposal for a small town western in a really quirky town with a sexy Alpha hero and a strong heroine, I wonder when you might actually read this one.

Not to mention the proposal I've been waiting to hear about for almost six months.

The good news is that if it's a pass, I may actually be able to bring that book to you in 2019.

This year, I managed to "write as fast as I can" and bring two new books to readers. Country Gold and She's Country Strong. I would have brought the third book but I've been busy writing books that won't be published for two years. So there's that.
