Setup for this snippet: WIP from Heart and Soul. This is a snippet from my new 'rock star romance' that I'm working on. It's in the very early stages.



Rowan watched a video of the band Maverick used to play in.
Maverick's POV. Rowan is speaking first.

"Why did you leave the band?" Rowan asked as she reached for her coffee mug.
"Fields fired me."
Rowan's right eyebrow lifted a fraction as she let out a half chuckled. "He fired you?"
"He didn't like me telling him he was an ugly drunk and should check himself into rehab. I probably didn't say it as nicely as that, but hey..." he said with a shrug. "After I left, the band lasted another tour, and the next album bombed big time. It all ended when Fields decided to tell a reporter, who was interviewing the band, to go f**k himself on live TV. Kind of pissed off a few people."
"I can imagine."
