Diversity Speaker for Everybody from Intellectuals to the Jerry Springer Society

As a diversity speaker who has traveled to 64 countries and lives in Queens, NY the most diverse county in the country I'm continually amazed at the vast variety of people who manage to get along and get through their day in New York City.

While I was getting my hair cut by my Russian barber, who happened to be watching Jerry Springer (a type of show he told me is not seen in Russia - perhaps a good thing), I noticed the vulgarity and rude behavior by those on the program.

I chuckled and suddenly felt there was a show to capture what I see on a daily basis in Queens and New York City on my commute to Manhattan.

The subway is full of people from every ethnicity, socioeconomic background, nation and various levels of education.

Some swear profusely nonstop the whole train ride using profanity and vulgarity every other word. Others of various races panhandle and are professional beggars. Some even curse at you when you don't give to them (and say "God bless you" to those who do).

I even was spit on once on the Long Island Railroad. So don't tell me about haters, I feel you and get it fully.

As for poverty, I grew up with a mom who was a drug addict and alcoholic. Yet I didn't follow in her footsteps and thanks to my loving and wise grandparents managed to make something wonderful with my life.

Overcoming adversity, identifying compassionately, feeling the pain of others wholeheartedly and empowering all humanity to live their dreams is what this worldwide diversity speaker is about.

By the way I've earned several university degrees and can speak to intellectuals as well as down-and-outters. Whatever you want.

The biggest challenge I presently see however is bridging the gap between the two: teaching the intellectuals how to be compassionate and relate to the not so socially refined and well educated and teaching those who have immigrated to the United States or who are endeavoring to come out of poverty to embrace some social grace and polish their communication style so they can be more acceptable in the larger society beyond their nearby neighborhood.

Truly with God all things are possible.

Hope and faith lifts humanity and unconditional love transcends the barriers that divide us to bring us together while making us all better.

Grace and peace!
