New Story idea!

If you’re an author or a writer… or even would like to be… you may notice a never ending stream of idea seem to pour forth from your imagination…

At least it does for me.

I get criticised for not ‘finishing’ an idea… although I am, these people just don’t appreciate how long it takes to actually write a story!

Anyway… I have come up with another one and wanted to share it with you early, because, well… it is a bit of a tribute to a story I one wrote when I was younger. My mother told me that I loved to write stories (I knew this already) and one story was about a butterfly. I have no memory of this, and my mother cannot remember what the story was about… so, I came up with the challenge to write a story that features butterfly as a tribute to this old forgotten child-Penny story!

And Butterfly House was born.

(Yes, I am aware that the correct turm is lepidopterarium, but I thought ‘Butterfly House’ would be more attractive!)

Synopsis:

Dave MacLeod is a normal family man. He has a wife, two children, a good job and a lovely home. He has no reason to leave.

Monday the 19th of June is like any other day; Dave has to leave to go abroad for a few days for work. But after a week of not hearing him, Jan, his wife, starts to worry.

And when the police find out Dave never made it to his flight, maybe there is reasn to worry?

Has Dave run away? Or has Dave been murdered?

Or… is there something else… something more sinister and downright weird going on…?

 

Prologue:

 

THE SEARCH CONTINUES AFTER BMW FOUND!

Authorities located the car of missing man, David MacLeod, found parked in Notting Hill five miles from home.
He was last seen leaving home at 7:00am Monday 19th of June to catch a flight.

David MacLeod, husband to Jan MacLeod, father to Charlie and Margaret MacLeod, ages 1 and 4, is still missing after three weeks. Supposedly having left for a business flight, but never making it to the airport.

Authorities have responded to a report of an abandoned car, which has been confirmed belongs to that of David MacLeod. It is not known why David’s band new BMW was parked in Notting Hill when he was due to catch a flight at 08:00 that Monday at Gatwick Airport.

Jan MacLeod is appealing for witnesses who may have seen or heard from David or knows any information to his whereabouts, to come forward as she “extremely worried” about her husband. She says “this behaviour is very unlike David, he normally finds any way to contact me and wouldn’t abandon his children!”

His ex-wife Allison refused to comment but is believed to be working closely with authorities to find David.
