Help with my Masters Fees! Buy my Book!

Hey guys,

Got some positive news! I got my 2:1! A few days ago I finally got confirmation from my University that I have not only passed my BSc, but I got the grade I was after and am 100% going to Cranfield to do my Masters.

Now, I was thinking up ways to get funds for my Masters Degree; summer work (which failed after nearly collapsing in exhaustion!), part-time work, weekend work, writing jobs, and I completely forgot that I could just try to push my book a little more!

So, after I’ve done a little bit of writing today, I’m going to look at finding better ways to market my book (I’m really not good with it!) but for now, I figured I’d write a quick blog post about it.

My Masters Degree is £10,000. Cost of rent for the year is £6,000 (for an en-suite bedroom in someone’s house for the year) and the other fees, like food and transport? I have no idea. Probably another £2,000-3,000. Then I was hoping to buy a new laptop as mine is dying, will probably need a new mobile, and I could do with new clothes after not buying much for a few years while doing my undergrad.

I have managed to save up a little bit of money, so I’m not hugely desperate and I am hoping I can get a part-time job on days off and weekends.

But, I would be ever so thankful if I could raise funds by selling my books! I’m not a business person, I don’t know anything about marketing, I am just an amature author (okay, technically ‘professional’ because I’m published now) and student.

So, if you’d like to help out with my fees, please do buy my book! I do not get an awful lot in terms of royalties (only about £2 per each paperback I sell).

Also please do the following, even if you cannot buy my book you can do a couple of these:

Review it, on Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords.
Tell your friends about it.
Share it on social media – Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Instagram, and so on.
Like and comment on posts! The more likes, the more people see it!
Just general support and encouragement is also helpful, even if it’s just a ‘well done for publishing a book’ is just nice and encourages me and other authors to keep going!
