Who Cares?

Who cares for the carers?
Who spares a thought
to all the givers
who give for naught?

Who tells the stories
of those who strive
and care for others’
fragile lives?

Who cares for carers?
Who sees their hearts,
when their world is troubled
or falls apart?

Who says
“I’m here,
I understand
what it’s like to be weary.
I’ll lend you a hand.”

And who remembers,
in the fading light,
the voice of an angel
who says, “Goodnight.”

Who cares for Samaritans,
who do good deeds;
help those on life’s journey
in their hour of need?
