, is a telling of the past that constantly returns to the present. It's about how three sisters, murdered for being witches, return to a tiny seaside town annually, to exact their revenge. #element-a45f4052-4894-474c-b667-2de6bca12540 .waddons-blog-image.hideImage { display: none;}
Do not get tricked by this book! You have to pay attention in order to know what's really happening. The author thought she got me, but I paid attention to the wording. What I didn't figure out what how it would all end. To be honest, I was satisfied with the ending.
The book is simply written with a great deal of emotion. I wish I'd read the book instead of listening to it, to be frank. The author did a fab job, but the narrator (Casey Turner) didn't have the right voice. Don't get me wrong, she has a pleasant voice, but there wasn't a great deal of emotion and inflection. It was more like a poetic reading than a fantasy of great love and sacrifice and witchcraft/magic! I was sorta bummed out. What I may do is go back and read it instead of listen. For that reason, I gave the book 4/5 stars on Amazon and Goodreads. I can change it later on.
If you're looking for twisted romance, fantasy and some wicked sisters, The Wicked Deep may be your tale. I'm moving on the next read. Cheers!
