A Fate Unchanged

Frustrated:

a tantrum throwing toddler,

in a fit of half-rage

mixed with a cry of despair;

asking for a change.

Lost:

sight of sun and stars

obstructed by clouds;

stranded with no directions.

Hopeless:

without a will to move,

to eat, or to even breathe;

resigning to a life of misfortune –

change no longer seems possible.
