Best Boarding Schools: New York Boarding Schools and Beyond
As a world traveling motivational speaker and university counselor serving schools, I have had the privilege and distinct honor of visiting many outstanding boarding schools throughout the world. As an international educator, I also have some experience in the past teaching at some boarding schools (some better than others).
What I learned about boarding schools is they are definitely not the same, though all may purport to be outstanding online via their website and marketing promotional materials.
What parents must be alert to and aware of are the following:
1. accommodations (safe, comfortable and convenient)
2. facilities (exceptional for extracurricular, recreational and athletic events)
3. food (healthy and good quality)
4. faculty and staff (professional, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and helpful)
5. security (alert, aware and awake 24 hours a day)
6. university and career counseling (astute, in touch, personal and approachable)
7. student body (established criteria, carefully selected and chosen)
Every parent wants the best for their children. Working and traveling parents who opt to enroll their children in boarding schools want peace of mind when doing so. Parents want to know their children are provided for, learning, growing and happy.
I provide free counseling to parents and students to assist them in choosing a boarding school, as I realize this is a very important decision.
Serving your happiness and success.
