Featured - Character Interview with Fara & Grant from Marie Lavender's "Heiresses in Love" Trilogy (Part 1)
If you're familiar with my blog, you'll know by now that I often feature character interviews with the heroines and heroes from Marie Lavender's books. This time, we thought of something different: Read on for a Q&A with the younger versions of Fara and Grant. On the 18th, I'll be sharing another Q&A with their grown-up versions.
Character Interview with Fara and Grant (then) Devika: Welcome, Fara and Grant. I’m so excited to have you over. Please have a seat.
Fara: Thank you for inviting us here.
Devika: Fara, as it’s ladies first, please tell me a bit about yourself. Where do you live? And what do you do for a living?
Fara: Right now, I’m living with my aunt in Marseille. Are you asking my occupation? Why, I am a lady, of course! But I wouldn’t mind being a seamstress if it became a necessity, or working with numbers in some capacity.
Devika: Interesting. What about your family background?
Fara: Like Grant, I lost my parents at an early age, and I was forced to live with my uncle in La Rochelle. Recently, he passed as well.
Devika: I see. So how did you meet Grant?
Fara: Oh…I…well, it’s quite controversial, I suppose. I went to meet my fiancé at the harbor; however, two rogues were there to accost me. I am simply fortunate Captain Hill showed up just in time.
Devika: Wow. That sure makes for an interesting story. Grant, tell me, how did you know that Fara’s the one?
Grant: I’ve always been drawn to her in various ways. I suppose that means we were brought together for a reason.
Devika: Do you think you two will have a happily ever after? Let’s talk about your dreams and goals in life.
(They look at each other for a moment.)
Grant: (He shrugs.) We’re taking this one day at a time. I think we both would like to be content, away from the complications of society and such, but we accept what we have right now.
