I had a lot of fun writing this novella, which features a duke unsure of his place in the world, and a scientifically-minded heroine who is learning to deal with new emotions while conducting strange experiments to bring back her guardian to life. Felicity is not a neurotypical heroine, and it was an absolute joy to get to show how she reacts to the possibility of romance with the boy from her childhood that she always viewed as a necessary annoyance.
