Why Mistakes Happen

I worked hard to make More Deaths Than One typo-free, but there are at least two errors in the published novel.

Bob laid a had on top of hers. "I was."

"Then let's get you out of there. Finish the story."

Sumner Wilson Dear Pat: 8-30-2009

I usually see at least one mistake--semi-literate, me--in every book I read, many times two, sometimes more. I'd say two is about the norm. I know, though, you would like to eliminate them altogether, but you're not Supergirl, after all. It does sort of tip the reader that there is a shadow person telling the tale after all,and this is a bit off-putting at times. If the writing is solid, though, there's no problem.

Thanks,
Sumner Wilson

Pat Bertram Thanks, Sumner. One thing, at least mine mistakes are all but invisible. Though I will fix them if ever I get a chance.
