Thoughts, of self perhaps ?

My thoughts or your thoughts, could be they are similar on any given day. We, two conplete strangers may just contemplate the same thought for a moment or two about anything really, when one thinks about it.
What is it that sends us into our thoughts? What carries us deeper and deeper as we drive along in the car or sit in a waiting room, a packed train for that matter. We are one individual in a world of oh so many and yes that is right, for as many thoughts you have in any given day, the rest of the world full of individuals is probably doing the same thing.
Some might even say of someone, as a slagging joke of course, "who? Him? Sure he just doesn't even think, that's his problem"

When in fact he does think, we all do it. Now how many times a day do we think of another person and how they might be feeling or how our last conversation was with that person. Were we considerate of our fellow human being in our last chat or argument ? We could call it stress perhaps when our thoughts get to this way of thinking, a little worry even. Do we think of what they might think of us when we appear to our scheduled event or meeting ? Do we think of how the clock is ticking and we must not be late. Many thoughts can fill our mind on each and every day and it is of course a belief of mine that these thoughts and high thought activity is just great to keep the mind active. An active mind sounds healthy yet somewhat criminal almost.

Now what about SELF ? How about thinking of oneself for a change, a good practice and does not even begin to shade the realms of selfishness, why ? Because thinking of oneself is important, to bring about a balance to all the thoughts we have had for other people all day long. How do we think for ourselves, well obviously any thought we have is "thinking for ourselves". But let's see if some basic thinking might help balance the daily routine and give ourself a little time in our day.
How in the bleep bleep.name can we do that ?

We can begin by doing something so simple as, STOP! Yup to stop for one minute, sixty little seconds and take in the moment you find yourself in,
Do it now I will wait for you to comeback. Put all your stress, worries and thoughts out of your head for one moment of your day, just by pressing stop in your life. You won't get fired and you will not even probably be noticed. Just stop for one moment, clear all thoughts out of your head, maybe even close your eyes. When you open them look at what is directly in front of you and look at it for one full minute.
Ok go do it, and I will wait for you.............................

So that being done you have now successfully taken a moment for your~SELF and it did not cause anyone any harm from your selfish little moment. Nope none at all. What you did do though is pause your life for one full minute to think, nothing deep nothing stressful. Today I found myself looking at a tree, how weird ? Nah not really it was the moment I caught myself readjusting my day.
The tree was simple it was a tree, with many different shades of colour all speckled along it's bark that to be honest I knew existed but I never took the time to look and think only about the tree. We all know what a tree looks lik don't we ?
Do we take the time to notice and only think about the tree?

It is not about the tree but more so about you or us taking the time to focus on just one item in front of us, just one item and a much slower rate of thought flowing through our minds. What can it do for you?
Can something so simple help your day and de-clutter your head to a point of being clear headed or being mindful while making the mind empty ?

It is a good practice to try and help yourself balance the thoughts that can take you over. Thoughts can creep up on us at any time and run riot with our good selves. So why not help to clear the space every so often.
You clear the cache and cookies on your phone and computer every once in a blue moon so why not treat your SELF to a similar reboot ?

You do deserve it and you might just find that a peaceful day can be the day you have decided to clear your mind of all the things life has to bother you about.
Not required to be a deep person, just a person who wants to be kind to themselves and in turn bring about a little kindness into their world and of those around them. Not a bad offering to society and life is it ? A clean mind and a clear head to maybe even uplift your own world. What an asset you have become to your OWN LIFE by taking one single minute.
Nothing selfish at all about it as you have done something for everyone you will meet today by being good to yourself.
Well done and a pat on the back for your SELF.

It does not all have to be expensive retreats or weekends at the spa for relaxation and regenerate or recharge the batteries, just a few moments of STOP and take in the life you have right in front of your very eyes.
Try it, ah go on give it a go. Not that I want you to thank me afterwards but so that you can begin to gain and benefit from such an exercise.
And everyone you deal with will benefit too.

Allow yourself the time to de stress and kick worry in the ass by taking a moment to tell all the thoughts to STOP and give time to you yes your SELF and the world right in front of your nose.
