You see, the point is not relevance; for that is a universal human need. My mentoring tends to focus on the questions of to whom and for what from a somewhat different perspective. The world makes it easy to skip over a careful consideration of these fundamental questions. Many of us find ourselves, decades into a career or a relationship, not having carefully thought through whether we are living our life in a way that is fulfilling. I call it the “of course” tendency. Of course, I will be an entrepreneur. Of course, I will get married and have children. Of course, I will own a home in the suburbs. Etc.
