Fall From Heaven

I stand at the edge of a cliff,

fierce winds messing my unkempt hair;

my body shivering cold;

shivering in sadness.

Towards the skies, I glance,

through the tears in my eyes

I see you – an angel –

your heavenly wings startle me.

My feet stumble on a piece of rock,

without balance, I fall towards sea,

screaming; winds howling in my ears,

ocean’s mouth opens up to swallow.

Gales calm; I open my eyes,

your face blushing

as I am held in your arms;

my heart beats ’cause of you.
