About ESCAPE

Everything inside of him is screaming that he needs to run, he needs to go, he needs to escape.

Lane Warner is used to being overshadowed and overlooked.

After all, he’s the youngest brother and the most laid back one in the family. He’s the one known for going with the flow and not making waves, even when things seem to be at their worst.

Very few things in life have had the ability to rile Lane up and get under his skin. At the top of that list is his childhood friend Brynn Fox…no…Brynn Warner. The fact that they share a last name was the one thing that has the power to light him up and spin him out of control like no other. There was no calm, cool and collected when it comes to all the reasons why Brynn had to become part of his family.

It’s slowly killing him to keep wanting what he can’t have, so Lane sees only one way to stop himself from doing something they’ll both regret…he has to leave.

Everything inside of her is calling out to find him, to follow, to bring him home.

Brynn Warner is used to being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

After all, she’s the daughter of an unrepentant gold-digger who never once blinked at being the cause of her daughter’s pain and suffering.

Very few things in her life have ever brought happiness and a sense of security. At the very top of that list is Lane Warner. She has unwaveringly loved the youngest Warner since the first minute she laid eyes on him. He was everything Brynn ever wanted and everything she knew she could never have.

Sometimes the right choice is the one that hurts the most and Brynn’s had to make a few that felt like they might be the end of her.

When Lane takes off, one thing is clear, the only choice Brynn has is to go after him.

She’s going to bring her wayward cowboy home….whatever it takes.

Escape is a standalone novel, the third book in the Getaway series, which features the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women who dare to love them. These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.

My Review

Lane needed someone who saw him. someone who thought of him as more than the youngest Warner. someone who knew he was as far as could be from the easy-going jackster that he presented to the world.

Lane Warner is the youngest of the Warner Brothers, and the most attractive one (al least to me). He’s one of those people who has a beautiful soul and always seeks to help those he loves, his father, his brothers, his friends. It is no surprise that when he was younger he wanted to be everything his father expected from a son, that he followed his brothers and imitated their actions, that he wanted to save his best friends from her own mother and ending up falling in love with her and making the ultimate sacrifice by proposing to her in order to get her away from harm. Sadly, she didn’t marry him because she ended up marrying his dad.

On the other hand, it was all I ever wanted. Lane Warner, with no place to escape me in our tangled, tormented history.

Brynn Warner has had the most difficult life ever, neglected by her mother and physically abused by those men that her mother allowed in their home. The only one who seemed to care was her dear friend Lane, and even if she cherished his care and affection, she wanted more from him that he ever gave her, she wanted his love. When he asked her to marry him, she believe he did it to save her from her life, but not because he wanted forever with her. They were way too young to marry, anyways, and when his father told her that she could marry him, escape from her life, she saw an opportunity to a better life. But after she tied herself to the Warner patriarch, her relationship with Lane was never the same. At least, she was safe and in a place where she was loved and protected.

I think first love is important because it shows you how strongly you can feel about another person, both good and bad. Then I believe there is a forever kind of love which is the love that simply feels right. It’s the kind that you know was meant to be yours all along.

The book starts in a decisive moment when Brynn is asked to marry by yet another man. Lane can’t seem to stand it and simply runs away without even knowing that Brynn rejected the proposal. From there, Lane and Brynn start an adventure, one that will define if they’re able to be together once and for all, or if their love is never meant to be. Sometimes your first love can be your last.

No, there was no escape from love once it it got its claws into you. sometimes the more you struggle the more you hurt yourself when those talons dug into all your tender, soft places.

There’s a series of adventures that make this book one of a kind, an awesome read that will have you want to read more and more until you finish the whole book. Brynn and Lane’s is a wonderful story, full of twists, danger and the most epic first love romance you’ll ever read. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!!

I didn’t need Lane Warner to save me, but I wanted him to love me. I wanted him, period.
