Last week I found out that JOCKEYING FOR YOU won Southern Magic RWA 2017 Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence. JOCKEYING was entered in the contemporary romance category. I am still over the moon with joy. JOCKEYING was one my hardest novels to write, due to the extensive amount of research I had to conduct.

Before I wrote this novel, I knew noting about horse racing. The learning curve was steep. Thankfully, writing JOCKEYING was a labor of love.

Now that I received this award, I can take extra pride in this book. And I’m inspired to keep on writing more.
