Road Block

Writers often hit what we like to call ‘Writer’s Block’. However, I am not struggling with Writer’s Block, I am struggling with ‘Road Block’. Anytime I even think about opening up my Word document to continue on my current project something goes on in my house. If it isn’t my two youngest fighting/arguing with each other, it’s them playing together and being LOUD! Also, my husband likes to talk to me at night since he works during the day. Well, nighttime is when I like to write because the kids are sleeping (Or should be).

During the week, you think I would be able to get writing done while the boys are in school and husband is at work, but nope. This past week, I walked my youngest to school every day with the dog. I’d come home motivated, but then my phone would start blowing up with messages from the school about my 13 years old (the one with autism, mood disorder and now early onset Schizophrenia). He has been giving the school hell! By the time I am done handling that, making appointments and trying to come up with a game plan I am too pissy & exhausted to write.

I have so many ideas in my head for this project, my summer project and the other 30 million projects I have lined up. I don’t want to lose the motivation of writing. Being mentally exhausted takes a toll on any person, even if you aren’t a writer!

I need a day to myself. A full day! No phone, no kids, no husband (The dog is debatable), no outside interferences. I want someone else to take on my life for 24 hours so I can just write. So I can purge these thoughts and ideas onto paper (documents). That would be my greatest gift if someone was to give it to me. Will it happen? Hell no, but a girl can dream…right?

Train to Anguish is still chugging along. Has anyone jumped on the train and taken the journey with Kaitlyn? What did you think about it? If you haven’t, that’s okay. I understand life is busy or you simply don’t like this type of book.

We all have different tastes
