75 Years Ago—Jan. 23, 1943: British Eighth Army takes important port of Tripoli, Libya.

On Guadalcanal, US takes the last Japanese landing beach and cuts their supply route, and also takes Mount Austen and the last artillery sites harassing Henderson Field.
