Though we never met, Ursula K Le Guin was the closest to a mother I ever had. I am so grateful.

I finished a re-read of The Left Hand of Darkness on the 22nd, not knowing at that moment that she had passed away. We are so lucky to have her words.
I can barely find words...
We are so lucky to have her words, her Worlds, her characters and stories. I'll treasure them in my heart forever.

I, too, was shaped and molded by her words. Her books, quite literally, turned me into the lifelong reader I am. Reading shapes my life every single day; reading is who I
am
. I will forever be grateful to her. May all those who loved her find peace and strength.

Peace to one of the last remaining writers who understood what fantasy is really about.
It's been a few days and I am still heartbroken by this news. I never met Ms. Le Guin, but her books definitely left their mark on my life.

So sad. I will miss Ursula and her unique voice she brought to the literary world. Her story, Sur, is one of my favorites.
I feel sad that I was only picked up The Lathe of Heaven after her death. May your soul rest in peace.
