2017 Year in Review - Stars and Wonder!
There's too much to tackle about 2017 for all of us. It was one of the most memorable - and aside from Harvey, the best - years of my life. Before I do my annual New Years post, I wanted to look back, in brief. Processing it will take much longer. Wouldn't you agree?
Based on my post from Jan. 3, 2017, things worked out incredibly well. Here's what I wrote:
Dear Conspirators and Ramblers,
Here are my top three projects for 2017:
An album with my good friend Andy (aka Seven River Day). A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help NASA preserve one of its most iconic locations.A Cord of Three Strands, Book Three in the Tully Harper Series.
So how did these three project turn out, dear Conspirators?
#1 - AJ and I recorded Stars and Wonder, our debut album. You can listen here.
#2 - What a campaign! $500,000 on Kickstarter to for the Restore Historic Mission Control. I helped write some of Gene Kranz's narration. Being able to consult on this project, and preserve the legacy of folks like Gene and my dad, truly made my year. If you haven't watched the video, do it!
#3 - It took a week of being locked up in a hotel room in Las Vegas (long story), but I finally finished A Cord of Three Strands. It's with the proofreader now and will be out in 2018. Here's a teaser:
...and finally, saying goodbye to 2017, y'all. From our Christmas Eve surfing session in Costa Rica a few weeks ago. :) Love and rockets, Adam
