What I want in a book?
When I read a book, I want the language to flow. I want to be swept away into a world that is more interesting than my own. I want to feel what a character feels. I want to care about them. I want to be able to relate to them on some human level.
I need to understand their background and history. I want to be able to imagine every facial expression and gesture. I need the words they say to be meaningful and contextual. I do not want them to be physically perfect, nor do I want them to appear flawless.
I want mystery. I want to figure out for myself why a character behaved in the way that they did, but I expect an explanation that is well-defined at the end. I want to be transported.
Imagery, plot line, character development, word choice, and world building. I need it all! And that is what I try to give my readers. I let the characters tell the story. I make it real.

The same thing happens to me. I am able to read in Spanish, English, and French but the emotion is the same no matter the author. I want to be transported to a world I can see through the eyes of my imagination. And if it is a biography, I want to live through the voice of the main character while he/she grows. That's why I like your way of writing. I feel easily transported and I can select my favorite character without loosing the others. Please keep writing and thank you for your book recommendations.
